Are 'Versions' transferable with iWork files such as .Pages?

I have an iMac running Mac OSX Lion and a MacBook with Mac OSX Snow Leopard. If I update my MacBook to Lion and update iWork to allow Versions, will iWork files I transfer between the devices contain the doccument and previous 'Versions'?
