Can't delete apps in iPad. Wiggles but no x option

Hi Kaylee100996. To delete an app, tap/hold an icon until all the icons start to shake. This takes longer in iOS 11, just be patient. Tap the ✖ in the corner of the app to delete it.

If you have Restrictions on Deleting Apps, you will need to allow this before you can do it.

If you don't know the Restrictions passcode, then you need to erase the iPad using a computer.

I am unable to delete free apps from my iPad. How do I do that

Neither of these techniques worked for me.

When I look up the app in the apple store it longer exist. The second app I’m trying to delete says the developer needs an iOS 10 update.....

So I’m supposed to wait on a developer in order to delete an app?

Mind you the apps are blacked out on my home screen which means I can’t even open it.

And no I don’t need to restart my device. I do it regular and I have iOS 11. And I know what your thinking it’s because of the beta. Negative. I’ve been having this issue I switched to the beta in hopes after restoring my device I could get rid of this crap.

But to no avail the app beats human... again.

Hi. Go to Settings - General - Restrictions - Delete Apps.

otherwise, resync on itunes without the apps you don't want

Hi. Stedman's "Go to Settings - General - Restrictions - Delete Apps" did not work for me, but what did work was to Go to Settings - General - Restrictions - Turn restrictions off - and then when I went to the home page and tried to delete the app by pressing and holding until it wiggled, the X showed up again and I was able to delete.
