Has anyone found any help with this issue? I get the same error message as Reuben several times a day. Just entered my pw into that dialogue box about a dozen times just now. Password is correct – it eventually works. It just doesn't remember it, not does it seem to "take it" the first time I re-enter it.

Getting very annoying.

I spent an hour on the phone last week trying to get an answer only to find out the "server was down...problems with the server" and there was nothing they could do about it. I didn't have access to my icloud mail on my MacBook, Iphone, or a PC for 2 full days (I could acess ical and address book). I see others have had the same problem and simply just have to wait. I'm not sure why it affects only some and at different times. Don't waste your time changing your password...it won't work.

The ONLY thing that worked for me when I was experiencing the problem is to wait.

It STINKS, because they really, REALLY, REALLY should put up some kind of notice. I think what is happening, judging from the fact that some people seem to be experiencing this in turn, is that they are transitioning the server load of various accounts, to spread out the server load. Or there is some sort of server renaming going on.

When the problem was "magically" fixed for me, the server name changed somehow, in my Accounts info in Mail. I know I didn't change it!
