As Mike mentioned you should contact the developer to see if they have updated their software. When Lion (10.7.x) was released support for PPC (Power PC) applications ended. You may want to check your inventory of applications to see if you have any other PPC apps. You can easily do this by opening System Information (Applications - Utilities - System Information), click Applications on the left pane and then look in the Kind column. What will run on Lion are Intel & Universal apps, if you have any other PPC apps you will need to update, upgrade or replace them if you wish to use them.

CM 9000 by Feral will not run on OS Lion.

There are no patches available.

There is no indication of a new CM version being produced that will run on Lion.

Other Chess products that will not work:

Sigma Chess is another product that will not work with OS Lion.

Jose Chess will not work with Leopard & higher.

What will work:

The programmer indicated the product will work with Lion.

HIARCS is bundled with Junior. (Separate pricing).

HIARCS is currently working on a new Sigma Chess program that will run on 10.7.
