Hi

Please

(Do not yell - by over using Capital letters)

Tell what You are doing - It's so very hard to try to guess

• What Mac OS - Do You use ?

• What iMovie version ?

• What kind of material

Video-codec (from Camera, Download or other medium as DVD etc)

Photo file formats

Audio file formats (from Audio-CD or iTunes and .aiff or .mp3 etc)

• Free space on Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard disk. How Much ?

• Done any action to make things OK

Trashing iMovie pref file - or - Started a new User Account + log into this and re-try

Re-Started Your Mac

anything else

As You see - Just to pin the problem by asking questions can set any inst. of Investigation/Statistic looking simple.

hi, okay, thanks!

I am using Mac OS X 10.7.3, imovie '11

the videos are either mp4s, mov's, or avi's from cameras and webcams. the photos are jpeg, and the audios are from itunes

i have about 28 free gig's on my mac

however, it doesn't seem to have to do with the file of the movie or picture, it seems to be more of an issue with imovie.

Thanks 🙂

Most probably You are 100% - I'm not and as You named in what kind of containers the movie codecs are I would like to know the specific codecs used - just to be sure.

the videos are either mp4s, mov's, or avi's

They are all containers - Open each of them in QuickTime-Player and then Open Inspector (cmd+I) and read

Video Format/Codec: nnnnnnnnnnn

What does it read ?
