I have emails being sent to me with attachments, these are showing as win mail.dat files and I can't open them. Any ideas?

You are probably being sent the emails in rich text format : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1506

If you can't get them resent to you in a different format, then there are a number of apps in the app store that claim to support winmail.dat files
