Help - Spectraview II Monitor Calibration Software & Snow Leopard

I recently upgraded my Mac Pro to Snow Leopard (10.6.8) from 10.5.8. Did a clean install and one last thing remaining to update is the Spectraview II monitor calibration application for my NEC 2190UXi monitor. Everything was working perfecty under the old Leopard but am having problems getting it to work under Snow Leopard.

I was previously using version 1.0.31 and when that didn't work, I went to the NEC website and downloaded/installed the latest version 1.1.09 which also didn't work ("couldn't detect monitor"). So I called NEC tech support and the guy suggested I try the previous version 1.1.08. When I tried installing that, it gave me an error that it couln't install because a newer version of Spectraview already existed. The tech support guys at NEC didn't know of a way to uninstall other than just drag the app to the trash, which doesn't seem to work.

So does anyone have any ideas about (1) how to uninstall Spectraview II and/or (2) how to get Spectraview II working to calibrate my monitor under Snow Leopard?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks again, Rudick. Still didn't work but I actually found out through another photographer who had pretty much an identical problem with the same NEC monitor and Spectraview. The issue is with the firmware in the monitor itself. I contacted NEC again and verified that it indeed has been updated and that is likely what's causing the problem. They gave me info to contact an out of warranty service center who should be able to update the firmware. I purchased the monitor back in 2006. Not sure what it's gonna cost to get it updated but hope it's not much or I may just look into getting a new display.
