My keyboard on the iPad 2 used to be at the bottom of the page, it has started appearing across the centre of the page. How do I get it back to the bottom of the page please?

ON the lower left side of your keybaord is a keyboard icon with an arrow facing down. Hold your finger on that button and you'll see an option pop and choose Dock. Your keyboard will move back to the bottom of the screen. You have the option on your keyboard to use it split (you have turn that on in settings) and to move it up or down.

Hmmm! My keyboard icon is ins the lower right corner of my keyboard.

If your keyboard keeps moving to the center of the screen or perhaps splits in two sometimes you can turn this feature off in Settings.

First dock tHe keyboard. Then go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Split Keyboard > Off

Yep, I was sure I typed lower right hand side, but just realized I typed lower left hand side. At least the OP got it and he's got his keyboard back on the bottom of his screen.......

Rbrylawski, thanks so much for answering Smrjbp's question! I ran into the same issue and have spent the last half-hour trying to figure out how to move the dang keyboard down to the bottom of the screen! So appreciate the Apple community! A great bunch of folks who obviously like to help others. Way to go!

Ralph9430: thanks for the info on changing the keyboard setting in General Settings. I've turned Split off and enabled Dock so hopefully this frustrating keyboard split wont happen again. Appreciate your input.
