Q: Can Leopard 10.5
I have three (3) hard drives on my Mac G4.
* Hard Disk (Main Disk) is partitioned with OS X 10.4.11 Tiger and MacOS 9.2.2
* 2nd Disk uses MacOS 9.2.2
* 3rd Disk uses OS X 10.4.11 Tiger
Is it possible to upgrade to OS X 10.5 Leopard on my PARTITIONED Hard Disk (Main Disk) (Tiger side) without touching/effecting the MacOS 9.2.2 side?
Power Mac G4 (QuickSilver 2002) Dual, Mac OS X (10.4.11), I also use MacOS 9.2.2

Install Leopard on either the Hard Disk or 3rd Disk.
Then you will essentially have the same setup that I have on my G4 MDD. I can boot into Leopard, Tiger or OS 9.2.2. When I'm booted into Tiger, I can open OS 9 apps in classic mode. I use Tiger most of the time. I boot into Leopard when I need to sync my iPad 2.
Do you have a Leopard install DVD?

Leopard is no longer available at the Apple Store but may be available by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).
If you can't obtain a retail install DVD from Apple, look on eBay or Google the installer part numbers to possibly find at an on-line store. Here's what to look for:
MB427Z/A Leopard 10.5.1 install DVD
MB576Z/A Leopard 10.5.4 install DVD
MB021Z/A Leopard 10.5.6 install DVD (single user)
MB022Z/A Leopard 10.5.6 install DVD (5-user family pack)

After you install the base 10.5, download & install the 10.5.8 combo update at http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update
