Problem connecting to network drive

I am having problems with the HDD (Fat32) plugged into the usb port on my router (bt Home hub 3).

My windows pc can access the drive without problem. However, on my mac (osx lion) I type the same address (smb://192.168.1.254/USB_Disk/Drive Name) into the 'Finder / Connect to server’ window and I get the error: The was a problem connecting to the server.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why my mac cannot connect to the drive?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Mac OS X (10.7.3)
