How do I stop the Mobileme alert?

I bought a used Macbook from a relative. We did not "wipe it clean" because I didn't know how at the time. I just recently installed SnowLeopard and a MobileMe alert keeps coming up every 5 to 10 minutes asking us to fix the password and user name.

My relative does not have a MobileMe account anymore, and MobileMe is not taking any new members.

How do I stop that annoying popup alert?

Thanks!!

Hi Paul ...

Open System Preferences > MobileMe (click the Apple menu icon top left in your screen; from the drop down menu click System Preferences).

You will need to enter your relatives Member Name and Password.

If at some point you want to wipe the drive, hopefully you were able to get the install discs that came with the Mac. You can use those discs to erase and reinstall the Mac OS X.
