Using CMYK jpg-pictures in PowerPoint

As it is now I know that PowerPoint does not support CMYK jpg-files.

Has anyone heard about what setting that need adjusting in QuickTime, to make this work?

I have currently installed (and reinstalled) QuickTime player 7.0.4. Do I have to spend money on the pro, or is there a setting to adjust, so my CMYK jpg-files is compatible with PowerPoint?

PowerPoint does not support CMYK jpeg files *at all* so your only choice is to convert those files to another format prior to importing them in PowerPoint. You can convert them by opening them in Preview and then Export as a JPEG (which will be using RGB not CMYK color space.) Photoshop, Graphic Converter, and QuickTime Player Pro can also open and convert the files.

Thanks for answering 🙂

My problem is with PowerPoint files that I recieve from f.i. our advertising agency, and before I get the file it has passed through many hands. And I often don't have the oppotunity to get the original pictures.

Therefor I cannot tell wether the black background is in fact a picture or just a black background.

If I try copy-paste in photoshop, the picture shows as a corruptet image.

It was never a problem in the older version of PowerPoint.
