how do you share files between macs

Get a USB thumb drive (or for larger amount of files a external hard drive) at any office or computer store and plug it in, it appears on the desktop and you simply drag and drop copy the files you want to transfer, take it to the other machine.

TimeCapsule is a automated backup system, leave that alone and working as it will be used to recover your files in case your machine dies.

When you learn more then you can mess with it.
