Strange sysex sent to all MIDI devices on startup of Logic Pro

I have a Soundcraft Ghost 32 with a center section that supports MIDI machine control, so I have it hooked up to my Logic rig. Unfortunately, if I have the MIDI cables connected when I start up Logic, the Soundcraft's center section will display "Loading" in the SMPTE field and stop responding to commands. I hooked up MIDI monitor to see what is going on, and it turns out Logic is sending a metric truckload of unknown SysEx messages out to all MIDI devices when it is started up (and at other random times). I have reset all control surface configuration, that didn't seem to do any good.

Attached an image of the data seen in MIDI monitor.

Sounds like a corrupted control surface preference file.

Delete com.apple.logic.pro.cs

It's in your User/<yourname>/Library/Preferences folder.

Next time Logic boots it will re-create the file.

Also, under Settings/MIDI uncheck the "Send Used MIDI Settings After Loading"

It's under Setting/MIDI not Preferences/MIDI

Settings are on a per song basis.

I'm going to check and see what kind messages I'm seeing sent out.

JSCooper and the Universal are Control Surface formants.

When you click on the Preferences Icon you should see some Control Surface selections near the bottom of the pop-up window. Have you gone through all of those?
