Having trouble connecting to WiFi

I just got a new MacBook Pro today and I am having trouble connecting it to my wifi in my apartment building. My current iMac and iPhone connect just fine. The MacBook is able to detect the connection but when I try to connect, I get the ! . It seems to connect fine at work (which is where I am using it right now) and it connects to an open network that is restricted (can't download anything or access some websites) at home.
