Hi .... iPhone restore from backup and lost contact from icloud

hi ..... pleaaaaase help me

my addressbook on my mac was outdated and all of my contact was on the iCloud

while i was trying to add my apple account in the addressbook , it suddenly remove all of my contact in the cloud and replace it by the old one,,,,,

so i try to get one of itunes back up to restore the lost contact BUT every time I try restore from backup it fails and it consume a space on my harddisk till it got full so , now I'm unable to do the backup cuase the harddisk is full & i don't know what to remove to get some space

it tooks more than 15GB

please any suggestion to restore the cantacts

Can i get it from apple servers in iCloud ?

or clean the mac so i can do more try on the restore from back up
