When I take my iPad 3 out of my house, I have to reboot it to get a 3G connection. The 3g icon shows that it is connected but when I try and access any connection it says no internet connection. My iPad 1 seemed to work ok. I've also tried putting it in Airplane mode and back again but this has no effect.
Any suggestions please? Many thanks.

btw, just a check with all those that have gone with a replacement. did you get a replacement new as in new out of a new ipad box casing and all or they are giving you a replacement new that is a re-manufactured set?
Good question. How can you tell the difference? They're going to replace mine, are they going to give me a remanufactured one?
After changing from T-Mobile Multi SIM to Vodafone CallYa prepaid SIM using websessions I can say the following after one day of use:
The iPad works like a charm now, no connection problems, no restarts necessary.
Hope this will continue. Got a month websession so lots of time to play with it and check what happens.
The only downside is that I had to spend extra money. Apple customer care, where are you?
My connection has failed again. The good news is that I have the diagnostic profile running on my iPad so hopefully apple can gather the logs that they need to resolve this issue for us.
By the way, Apple is running with this issue on case number 305738492 so quote this number if you have any difficulty explaining your issue to an Apple advisor.

I have exact issue as on previous 20 pages and my local Apple store replaced my device with a brand new one as they told me that they don't have any remanufactured ones to distribute yet. Fingers crossed for you too!
By the way, my 3G issue still exists with the brand new replacement too. I'm hoping a SW update is going to fix all this as I have reboot the device every 3 days ( to the minute) to get successfully connected to 3G again. And for that, fingers crossed for all of us!

Same issue iPad3 64. Doesn't connect to 3G after wifi, or cannot connect after being idle for long time. Very frustrating.
I will not pay even a single application until Apple not solved the problem and I will ask the refund within two weeks.

Exact same problem here in UK. New iPad 3G. Only solution so far is to switch off and switch back on.

The problem came back after leaving my wifi erea this morning.
Now I am in a train to work and had to restart twice already.
I requested a call back from apple care later this morning.
Let's see what they will tell me.

I may be imagining it, but this problem doesn't seem as severe as it used to be for me. I only occasionally use 3G, but it's worked the last few times without requiring a restart.
