Apr 30, 2012 10:14 AM in response to guitartabmanby wavegirl,Interesting about it happening in disparate places. I get the problem intermittently, or so I thought - I'll definitely check to see if there is a pattern.

Apr 30, 2012 9:26 PM in response to guitartabmanby Jorous,I had the same problem with Etisalat Sim in the UAE I swaped to providers to DU and the problem dissapeared. I have been on DU for the last 3 weeks and never had an issue. the only thing I noticed is that DU connection never stwitch to 2G hence the problem cannot be triggered. the issue is clearly when the network connection switch between 3G and 2G.
in conclusion until apple release a software update try to find yourself a carrier that offer 3G only

May 1, 2012 4:28 PM in response to yom207by mazzda,I am in Australia, I had 3G working on ipad 3 until I switched to airplane mode and after I got off the plane 3G hasn't worked since, tried all the usual things, reboot, reset etc... nothing works. Not impressed with my new ipad!!!!
As a longtime Mac user (20 years) can't believe this is happening.

May 2, 2012 4:23 PM in response to Jorousby Lafas1987,When you say 2G, are you meaning GPRS and Edge?
I have changed three (3) iPads 4G 16GB - White. All have tha same issue.
Today, with the third iPad, i tried Cosmote and i think that the problem dissapear. With Vodafone i always have problem.

May 3, 2012 12:39 AM in response to guitartabmanby Memnoch99,Suddenly it works for me. After having two weeks of restarting the iPad it just works now. For many days now without trouble. I have tried on trains and after Wifi connections. Strange feeling and I hope it stays this way...

May 3, 2012 1:12 AM in response to Memnoch99by MetaphysicPhil,After personally having up to four different iPads and four different SIMM cards (with two network suppliers) I informed Apple it was money back time or a County Court summons. They arranged pick up of my iPad so I am making do with my MacBook. If you don't act fast you will loose your rights. They tried to fob me off.

May 3, 2012 1:20 AM in response to MetaphysicPhilby inbrand,If somebody from Apple reads this thread I think they realize that the tone of voice is changing more and more. Time for beeing patient and wait for a solution is about to be over. 1-2 weeks is okay, more than a month without even a statement from Apple is making people agressive.
I don't think that Apple would be as patient in getting their money from us as we we are from getting a properly working iPad from Apple.

May 3, 2012 2:37 PM in response to SlyTimerby inbrand, interesting approach...but it works. (at least twice tonight)
Do I have to do this everytime I loose connection?
Would be at least a workaround until Apple wakes up and starts working on the issue
