So if Front Row has been removed from Lion, does the Apple Remote

have any purpose in controlling the Mac? I know you can use it with a dock to control an iPhone or iPod touch, but I am asking specifically about uses of the remote with an iMac and no Front Row app.

Seriously, thanks for the advice. I tried it, and the remote does work well with iTunes and Quicktime.
