Iphone is OW after 6 month?

I signed up to an Iphone 4 in Septempber last year, and last week, the external speaker stoped work.

I took it to the apple store yesterday, and the guy there claimed it was due to water damage and replaced it for me for a swap fee of 149 + tax.

This was fine until I saw on the reciept where it states that mine Iphone was Out of warranty(OW)

I went to their website to verify mine warranty, I still have 5 month or so left of hardware warrenty,

and on the apple care websit there is a like where it says

Coverage for up to two incidents of accidental damage,² each subject to a $49 service fee

So, I am asking, if anyone else experienced this before, I mean even if it is water damage, it should still be covered by the accidental damage right?
