Having trouble with sbcglobal.net email; pop-up box keeps coming up: the POP server "pop.att.yahoo.com" rejecting password.

I am having trouble with our sbcglobal.net email account. A pop-up box keeps coming up: the POP server "pop.att.yahoo.com" rejected the password for user ...@sbcglobal.net. I've reset the password and it's still not working. SBC/ATT says it's an Apple issue, not their issue... that Apple mail is not recognizing the account or something like that. I've also tried adjusting to "recieve mail manually" instead of automatically (on all of our apple products) - still not working. Continual pop-up box rejecting password, no mail coming in to that account either. Any ideas?

I went to the Apple store last night and they were able to fix it....but it stopped working this morning. Then it came back, and now I am back to getting the "box" that rejects the password....what is going on? Does anyone know if this can be fixed? I am at a loss...like others, I can get my sbc email on my ipad but not my MAC....so frustrating.

No - it's an Apple issue. I went to the store and they were able to fix it. I am not well versed on the lingo so I apologize that I can't give a full description of the problem. But if you go to the G -bar and mention sbcglobal or yahoo....the response will be "Yeah, we got an email about that a few days ago." And they'll show you a way around it. Good luck...mine stopped working but I was able to get it working again.
