I am trying to use the iMovie app on my ipad2 but none of the themes will apply to my videos. When I start a new project I go to the settings and select a theme and nothing happens. I added video and photos and it will play the video but without a theme, so no title page, etc. How can I get the themes to work?

Hi! The default theme for the iMovie app is called "Simple". When you click on the "T" to add a title you'll notice at the bottom there are several choices for iMovie title themes. The choice after "None" is the theme that is selected for your movie. In this case the choice after "None" is "Simple" because "Simple" is the default. If you click on the settings wheel and choose a different theme... let's say you choose "Playful"... then when you click on the "Simple" theme at the bottom, it will suddenly change to the theme you have chosen. So in this case if you chose "Playful", "Simple" will turn into "Playful". Note- It won't change automatically just because you chose the theme in the settings wheel. You have to click "Simple" and it will turn into whichever them you have chosen. I hope this makes sense! It took me an eternity to figure this out this morning! 😉

You need to add a titles to the video to see the theme.
The theme sets what the titles will look like.
