I have two 6th gen ipod nanos that will not sync, does anyone have a solution to this?

Does the sync process stop at a certain point?

No error messages.
The process does not stop - once you click "apply" after selecting new music and podcasts, the sync starts then the screen freezes and stays frozen until I force quit itunes.
I took the ipod to the Apple store and they reset them and advised me to delete itunes from my computer and download the latest version again (I already had the latest version), just in case there was a "glitch" in my itunes software.
BTW - we have an older ipod nano, new ipod touch, and iphone which are all able to sync. We are only having the issue with the 6th gen nanos.
Any ideas?
Did you remove all Apple related software and reinstalled iTunes again?
This is on an iMac. I followed the direction closely and removed and reinstalled iTunes.

Did you try this on a new user account on your Mac, to make sure there is no other software involved in this.

Are you using iTunes version 10.6?
If so, try going back to iTuns version 10.5.3. This is described in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3800799?tstart=0
