404 Not Found when I try to access my iWeb site- any suggestions?

Hi folks- my site has been working like a charm, but suddenly all I'm getting is this:

- - - - - - - - - - -

Not Found

The requested URL /file/About_Me.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/2.2.19 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.19 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.rebeccamjones.co.uk Port 80

I've asked JustHost (who host the site) about this but so far I've got nowhere.
Are there any clever bods out there who can suggest why this is happening and how i can fix it? Being self-employed I really need this up and running again as soon as poss.

The first thing to do is going to your server to see with your own eyes if the file is there.

It could also be a server error. That happens to me too. Even with non-iWeb files.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Create one. But that has nothing to do with iWeb.

Which file you're looking for?

This one :

The requested URL /file/About_Me.html was not found on this server.

It's in the file folder. If that's correct then you have a site called file in the public_html folder. The file folder contains the About_Me.html webpage.

Or perhaps you wanted a page you previously delete or renamed. And check for Uppercase & lowercase correctness.

Did you use iWeb to publish your website direxctly to your server? If so you should have an index.html file and a site folder inside the public_html folder. If you don't have the index file there you an publish your website to a folder on your hard drive and upload just the index.html file with an FTP client like the free Cyberduck. Cyberduck lets you view the public_html folder in a Finder like window and drag and drop files from your Desktop into the online folder.

Use Cyberduck to view your public_html folder to see what files are missing.

Thanks both- I'm afraid it doesn't mean much to me though- was hoping to avoid paying someone to do it for me, but looks as though I'm going to have to swallow my pride!

I didn't realise that the index.html file was supposed to be inside the public_html folder, so I'll have a play with that. I've obviously just bitten off more than I can chew!
