aperture and icloud

I am an Aperture user and realize that MobileMe and related galleries will go away soon. I've learned that journals publised via my iPad/iPhoto will publish in iCloud, much like galleries currently publish via MobileMe. Is there a way to publish in iCloud through Aperture. My SmugMug account is expiring and I prefer to go the iCloud/Aperture route for sharing journals, but can't duplicate the process I discovered with iPad/iPhoto. Any guidance or suggestions is appreciated.

So far only the iOS version of iPhoto can publish a 'Photo Journal' to iCloud: there's been no word on whether Apple intends to extend the facility to iPhoto on a Mac or Aperture. You may also find the Photo Journal a bit limiting.

Roger,

Thank you fr the clarification. Do you have any thoughts or recommendations re how to handle gallery sharing going forward? Again, I am just trying to determine if there is an Apple solution before renewing my SmugMug subscription.

Photo Stream is the only Apple solution, for what it's worth. This page examines some third-party alternatives:
