Add me to the chorus of people experiencing this problem. Finally got a chance to sit down with the family and watch some tv together and nothing works. Guess we'll actually have to talk to each other.

I looked in my account and it now says i have one hidde download but there are only catogories for apps, books, tv shows and music... No film option. Is this meant to happen as i got the error message too?

    Same problem here.

I've reported the issue to AppleCare support, who is forwarding it to iTunes technical support.

    Same here in TX.

I rarely get downtime and it just won't let me download. I get faster connectivity with the ethernet, but I connected to WIFI when it told me too and it's not getting better

Thanks to those who have called. I don't have support, so it was going to cost me $30 to talk to someone. I hope this is fixed sooner vs later.

Tried to rent on iPhone iPad iMac and Apple TV and no luck on any. Might just have to go see the Hunger Games tonight at midnight instead.

Same here. Cablevision (sucko) in the mid Hudson Valley.  Same message on both wifi and ethernet.  Glad to know it isn't just me!

Can't wait to find out what happened. Something big must have gone down.

Just tried to watch a movie with the fam tonight and have the same problem. I thought it was because I just got a new MacBook and maybe the Apple TV wasn't synching.  Any updates?

Ok just to add same line of comments...up in Canada here - same thing.  Either directly from the Apple TV box via remote and wifi OR on my desktop that is wired via Ethernet - still says i can't download or access purchased TV content from itunes - no matter what!

I just bought a song and worked fine.  Got to be some kind of unusual issue on the cloud end!

Maybe there is a little hail storm up there...reminds me that the cloud is not the be all end all with our data we seem to be trusting to, more and more these days!

Waiting for my Game of Thrones Ep to come!!!  Maybe i will watch american idol instead...:(

Sounds like an iCloud issue. Earlier today i downloaded some songs on my iPhone and they still havent transferred to my mac or ipad yet.

On the phone with Apple care now and they are still denying any knowledge of the problem - I'm on hold trying to escalate this to level 2 support.  Apple is holding several hundred dollars worth of my content - I'm asking for an iTunes credit for my worries.  I'm sure this won't put a dent into that 100B they have in the bank!
