Q: FCPro X suddenly running very slow

with one task, then a minute of beachballing. Nothing has changed in my computer configuration, Snow Leopard. All other video in other programs are fine.

Hmmm?

Still no luck. Is this the window? No where do I see "updates". Also, the search shows no results

Oh, and I can't show you the window I am looking at because "content not accepted".

To access the App Store, click the Apple icon at the very top left of your screen.
Select App Store.
Login there with the same details you used when you bought FCP X and you'll see a tab called 'Updates'

Trash the FCPX application. Go to AppStore "Purchases" and click on install

Thanks for quick responses. I'll try one more message before I wait in the phone queue.

The problem may be the Canadian website of Apple. Apple.com.ca.
When I "click the Apple icon at the very top left of your screen" there is no link called App Store. There is Store.
The closest thing to App Store is The Apple Store App. which takes me to iTune apps.

Very weird that the search does not have such an important link as "updates".

I think you should update your OS. Can't remember what version the App Store came in, but it was during the Snow Leopard era. You must have an older version of SL.
