Q: Changing iTunes U feed URL

Hello,

we have to modify the the feed URL's for our existing collections on iTunes U Public Site.

Feeds are hosted by our server ( not Apple Server hosted feed).

What I'm thinking to do is to delete existing collections via Public Site Manager and then re-add the collection with the new feed URL.

Is this the correct way to modify the URL feed ?

Any suggestion is welcome.

My client also has this same issue, and your post is from back in 2012. Did you ever find a solution?

As far as I'm aware there isn't a way of changing the feed URL in iTunesU public site manager. As such the options are A: deploy a server side redirect for each of your rss feeds or B: delete your existing collections in public site manager and re-add them using the new feed URLs. One thing to be aware of is that the latter will kill any user subscriptions to your existing collections as they will no longer exist.

Apple should really add an option to change the feed URL as it would make life a lot easier. It is possible to change the feed URL of a podcast feed in the iTunes podcast store, using the new iTunes Connect website, so perhaps Apple will update iTunesU site manager to include the same functionality at some point in the future.
