iTunes Match not showing up in iTunes - not able to match or upload

Hi there,

I'm an iTunes Match subscriber.

Today upon opening the iTunes program on my computer, there were some songs I wanted to match/upload so I could play on my other devices.

However, iTunes Match does not appear to be anywhere on iTunes!! It's like it doesn't exist!! It's just disappeared.

No option to upload/match and when I create a smart playlist with the option "iCloud status is not matched"... it generates a playlist of ALL of my music!! How can this be?? Around 80% of my music was previously matched!!

What is going on?

I should add that iTunes Match seems to be working ok from my iPad. It's just when I want to upload/match from my computer that the option isn't available.

Never mind everyone, I've fixed it!!

If anyone else is having the same problem, try loading iTunes and then clicking the the iTunes Match link in the iTunes Store. For some reason, I had to re-authorize my computer for iTunes Match.

Where do you find the itunes match link in the itunes store? I don't even see that!

It's on the right side, under Quick Links. You can also enable iTunes Match in iTunes by pulling down the Store menu and choosing "turn iTunes Match on."

You must be viewing the main iTunes Store in iTunes. In the tab bar along the top click the little house. Quick Links will be on the far right side.

I do see Quick Links now but iTunes Match is not in it...this is all that is there and I am signed in.

What country are you in? iTunes Match is not available in every country: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Match does not appear under quicklinks if it has been purchased. What do you see under store on main menu? Do you see turn on iTunes Match?

No. I see Turn OFF iTunes Match, which means I have it turned on already.

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone! I finally got it to work by simply turning off iTunes Match in my settings and turning it back on. I had done this before and it didn't work but this time it did. 🙂
