operation stopped the operation is not supported for this media

My Quicktime player can't export videos after i split a clip. I opened a video, then added a clip to the end and tried exporting it. It worked fine. I think split one of the clips and tried exporting again, and got the error "Operation Stopped The operation is not supported for this media." in the export progress window. Any ideas on how i can get it to work? Thanks

iPhone 3G, Mac OS X (10.7.3), QuickTime Player Version 10.1 (501.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd love to be able to use quicktime to stitch videos together if at all possible. Thanks

I opened Quicktime for the very first time on a Mac. Exporting my first video was ok. While continuing to use the program, that problem also occurred to me after I tried exporting my second video. I managed to successfully export the second video after I tried quitting the program (Cmd-Q) and then tried re-opening again. Hope it helps 🙂
