Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
When I turn on my computer, I am automatically logged-in to Apple mail. I want to be asked to enter my password before new emails appear. How do I stop the auto login feature?

Remove your password from Mail's account preferences.
I tried that, several times. No luck. I even restarted my computer, but it continues to log me in. Do you think that icloud or mobileme has something to do with it? Thanks though.
If you want to accomplish this for privacy reasons, you're going about it from the wrong angle. Anyone can always see your older received mail, even if you get Mail to ask for your password each time.
To give yourself privacy, create another user account on the Mac (System Preferences - Users and Groups), and make sure that Automatic Login is not set (Login Options). Then log out of your account, or lock the computer, when you step away from it.

I'm not sure if iCloud would be affected, but you'll need to remove the keychain entry for each account to get it to forget the password. Just removing it from the field in Mail's prefs won't remove the password from the keychain (in Keychain Access).
