Recently started getting 4 to 5 duplicate emails from AOL when I sign in thru the Mac Mail application. It doesn't occur in Mail with my Comcast email account. Each sign in adds another duplication going back several months in the mail history. No idea as to how to correct this. Just started last week. Am using Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on an iMac.

I am having this problem, too. Happens with Cox email accounts, but began a few months ago. Have searched these forums, and have found fixes from earlier versions of 10.6 -- specifically deleting the mail preference "plist" file. But I can't find such a file on my system for Mail. Also, it's been suggested that deleting and reinstalling Rules can help, but that hasn't worked for me. Would welcome a solution. On 10.6.8 as above writer.
