What artwork? iTunes doesn't generate folder artwork, so if you use iTunes to consolidate your media folder to a new location any art generated by Windows Media Player will be left behind.

I have script to move content which also manages any associated files (ConsolidateByMoving) and one to generate folder artwork (CreateFolderArt) if they are of any help.

The artwork I am talking about is the album covers.  They are in I tunes but when I transfer the music the album cover art does not transfer.  What is funny is that I downloaded a song from I tunes and I transfered it and the album cover art came with it.  I also have a few other albums that the album covers transferred.  But most do not.  I looked at the propoerties of the ones that transferred correctly and I see no difference with the ones that did not transfer the album cover artwork.

I used Sonos and they all appear in my I phone there with no problems minus the album covers.  Its a bummer.  I have tried many things but have not been able to solve this problem.  Hence my tapping this forum.

I have been able to transfer a few album covers but dont know how it happened since I am unable to duplicate the action.  I used Sonos for music palyback from the NAS drive and the music shows uo on my Iphone ( I use it as the controller) fine but with out the album covers for most of the albums.

iTunes doesn't automatically embed artwork in files if you use it to download the artwork. This isn't a problem with Apple's devices as it sorts out the artwork cache on the device when it puts on the content, but does mean that you will get variable results when using the media with third party software and hardware. The CreateFolderArt script will embed any artwork as a side effect of the way it generates folder art, or you could try Robert Jacobson's itunes_insert_artwork script which it seems can optionally tidy up after itself.
