Does anyone have a problem with opening PDF files in iBook after updating the program recently

I need to try to open the pdf file a few times before it goes in iBook.

It is making me look like a fool cos I use iBook for my presentation to my clients

To answer your question directly, No. Tell us exactly what your problem is. Where is the PDF that you are trying to open? Is it singled-paged or multi-paged. If single paged and in an email then hold down in the centre of the PDF for your prompt. (In the absence of more detail I am only trying to guess hat your problem might be!)

Same problem here and it may or may not open after about 10 or 12 attempts now.

This started after the last couple of recent updates.

I use the PDF's everyday in my sales work.

I've had to resort to PDF Expert which has some other wonderful features such as opening presentations and slide shows.

I would prefer to use iBooks but i'm wondering if I just have too many PDF files.

One of my customers said that she was also having this issue recently.

Same problem....After I got about 10 PDF's downloaded into iBook it would not open any more on the first try. It then took 3 try's before it would save to iBook then open. Try 1 it will open iBook and then nothing. Try 2 opens iBook and you see the icon appear then disappear. Try 3 will open iBook, icon will appear and save. However now it won't save after 3 try's. Just opens iBook, icon appears then disappears. Tried the reboot a few times and nothing still won't save?? My main reason for getting iPad was to hold all my manuals when doing service calls this is NOT cool!!

Please advise??

I have Goodreader.

I prefer the simple organizational interface of iBooks.

The question is why is this great app iBooks suddenly not working properly after a year of working great?

I use this app for my work as well.

I have tried to open a one page PDF I created with the Save as PDF in the Print window about 20 times getting the same results as vwgo. Then today I tried to open a different one and it worked on the first try.

Why after recent updates is this App so buggy?

I'm presumably having a similar problem with pdf's in ibook. It seemed to work fine until about two updates ago. We're using ipad II's with ibook (latest version as of today) for our board of director's reports. These are sometimes several hundred pages and password protected pdf's. Now the more whiney members of the board are *******' at me, so I need to find a solution relatively quickly. Is there a way to back off the updates?

What it does.

When a PDF is chosen to open from the library, ibook open a "blank" file -- showing only the ibook background.

One can try closing and re-opening the PDF and after three or four times it'll open -- seems to be random.

These PDFs are created in Adobe Acrobat 9.
