sidebar folders

i had a folder on the sidebar of finder and i accidentally deleted its contents. how do i delete it from the sidebar?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Press and hold down the COMMAND key while dragging the item out of the sidebar until it poofs away.
