honda financial services web site won't work

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced not being able to pay their online car payment on Hondafinancialservices.com website?

I can get onto the site and log in but when I hit the button to make a payment I get sent back to the log in page and it keeps happening like that. I can never just pay my bill. I'm able to use other online payment websites.

Thanks for your help!

First, ensure that Java is enabled in the security tab of Safari preferences. You might also disable the popup blocker and see if that helps. If not, try resetting Safari (in the Safari menu), to ensure that it's not something that has simply tangled up your web browser.

If that doesn't resolve it, it's likely that the site hasn't been written to be fully compatible with Safari, so that some of the code simply isn't working as expected. Download either Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/) or Chrome (https://www.google.com/chrome) and see if either of these behaves more satisfactorilly.

Assuming that an alternative browser works, I would then notify Honda Financial that the site is not functional in Safari so that the can fix the problem.

I run Firefox, but I also added several security plugins:

Ghostery -- allows you to block the services that track you and report where you visit

Adblock Plus -- blocks many many advertisements that would otherwise appear.

BetterPrivacy -- removes the Flash "cookies" that do not save under Firefox directly, will prompt you to delete them when exiting FireFox

WOT (Web of Trust) -- tells you the "reputation" of websites

Flagfox -- shows a flag of the contry where the site is hosted

Tracker Blocker -- blocks trackers of your travels in internet

NoScript -- blocks Javascript from running inless you allow the site.

Ghostery will show you what services "see" you -- let you select the ones to block

AdBlock Plus -- select "EasyList" for a good general list of adsites to block

NoScript -- blocks javascript by default, so you must choose to allow "forever" or "temporarily" the javascript sites ... annoying to select the ones to allow, but at least you see them

These add several colorful status bars to Firefox but I think it is worth the effort.
