In find my friends can't login. "device not supported. Your apple ID is valid, but this iPhone is not qualified for free MobileMe service." find my iPhone works fine. iPhone 4s iOS 5.1 never been jailbroken

You need to activate an iCloud account for Find My Friends." MobileMe is being phased out.
I have never used icloud and I use Find My Friends. MAYBE I "activated" it at some point, but I don't remember. How does one "activate" iCloud? I've never used MobileMe either. I simply downloaded and installed FMF on both devices, sent a request to the second device, accepted request from second device and it was all set up.
