Just bought an Apple TV. Connected it with hdmi câble + hdmi/ dvi adaptor.
The sanyo don't recognize the Atv. I get a noisy white screen. Don't know what to do. maybe HDCP related ?
The Sanyo works with DVD player in 760p and 1080i through DVI port

Support for DVI is not included in the Apple TV specifications. Additionally the Apple TV outputs 720p or 1080p and neither of the resolutions you mentioned above.
There's a typo in my intial message: the sanyo works with DVD player in 720p and 1080i.
i finally got it.
I bought a HDMI switch to use both DVD and apple TV
The ATV needs to be set to 720p AND the order of switching on must be: 1. projector 2. Switch (waking from sleep mode is not enough)

This saved my day.
I confirm that putting a switch between the Apple TV and the videoprojector (Sanyo PLV-Z2) + fiddling a bit with the way each device is switched on does work (with a perfect image too).
