Fixing a jailbroken iPhone.

My idiot ex (a supervisor on the apple care line!) jaibroke my phone and I hate it. It won't even turn on, now, it's stuck in recovery mode. How do I fix this?

I'm trying to make it work through iTunes but I get error 1601.

He used something called Red Snow, if that helps.

I'm absolutely sick right now. I never once wanted this thing jailbroken, nevermind absolutely broken. Especially by an Apple employee.

Meg, I know it isn't your fault, but I can't help but think that your rules around helping people who actually want their phones legit are absolutely ridiculous.

Sorry, they're not my rules; they're the rules of the fourm. If you have issues with iTunes, you should probably post in the iTunes forum:

That's where you'd get the best advice.

They aren't Meg's rules, they're the rules of the discussion board Terms and Conditions. If we COULD help, we would in this situation, but we can't sadly.

My recommendation is pretty much the same as Meg's; Google is your best friend here. Also search for Error 1601, you should get a pretty handy article that describes most- if not all- errors in iTunes.
