Aperture doesn't start

I recently acquired a new MacPro Laptop running Lion 10.7.3.

I tried to migrate files several times but it hung up with 2 hours and 7 minutes remaining. Ran Disk first aid and fixed permissions. Finally gave up and started reloading my programs.

I loaded Aperture 3 from the DVD. Tried to launch and got the following error " Aperture can't open the program check with developer to make sure this version works with this version OS.

I have a MacPro laptop, running 10.7.3. It has a 512GB SSD, 2.5ghz iCore 7 processor.

Aperature says it is version 3.2.3

Anyone have an idea what to try new?
