Having great difficulties installing Xcode 4.2.1(70)

Early 2011 iMac. Lion 10.7.3. 650GB free 12Gigs RAM.

Checked permissions and repaired disk via the 'Repair Partion ' (which requires a reboot - so did that too.)

My solution was to use FIND and just manually parse through the ~/user/library/Application Support and delete anything related to Xcode. The Developer folder there. I didn't loose any of the code I developed, just the files that XCode creates when compiling. Just had to recompile everything and it worked fine. Very ODD indeed.

Then I was able to open the MAS and Poof, I could install once again and it worked.

My guess is that I had XCODE 4 from downloaded from Developer.apple.com mixed in with MAS install. After cleaning out all the cruft, it seems to be working fine.!

Thanks for the help.
