Fingerprint reader and Software for the MacBook Pro OSx 10.7.2

As in my other post I have just bought a Mac Book Pro 13" laptop. I am in the learning curve as I have only worked with Windows for the past 22 years.

On my HP I had a built in fingerprint reader and I software installed that kept all my passwords (in a database on my pc, NOT in any cloud or web based progam) I use to log onto websites, logon to my computer.

I am looking for the same type of software and a fingerprint reader (small usb no wires if possible) for this MacBook.

Any ideas?

Also, every time I download and install a application, I get a pop up asking for my credentials, how can I get rid of that "feature"?

That "feature" prevents you from allowing unauthorized installations that muck up your Mac.

Iunderstand that Sig but I am experienced enough to know what to install and all that "feature" does it make installations annoying, Mac's are suppose to be immune to virus's, ect that will install junk and malware so I am not worried about rouge programs installing (Unless Mac guru's tell me differently).

Again I am a virgin to Macs.

What type of property do you have? Seriously they are less frequent targets lets say. So do you have AV, Internet security (AVG, AVAST, Norton or some other pkg) Malware software installed on your Mac?

If so, why?

If not, why?

Any thoughts to the question this post relates to?

OS X has built in safe guards to deal with malware/virus threats. Couple this with common sense practices, and the vast majority of users are safe. You asked specifically how to defeat one of OS X's built in protective features. My response was to make sure you understand that there are threats out there & you are reasonably protected as long as you follow common sense & don't mess with any of the features that OS X provides.

And no, I don't run any anti-virus.
