Can't change countries in App Store

I changed my Apple ID from United States to Canada and now I have purchases in both countries. However I can't find a way to switch between the different countries' stores. The FAQ and some forum posts I've seen refer to a flag that is supposed to be in the lower right of the App Store that you can click on to change the country of the store, but it doesn't seem to be there.

Hi, I'd just encountered the same problem, I have credit cards and addresses in China and Singapore but realise when I was changing store from China to Singapore, it pops up with an error which says "Changing region or country will automatically cancel any renewable subscriptions".


I tried doing this on my iPhone an iTunes to no avail.


However, I tried going to www.apple.com, log in from there, and change it, and it works. The change in store will automatically reflect on your iTunes / iPhone as well.


Just sharing in case anyone encounters the same problem!

Now I struggled for two days stuck in the Japanese store and couldn't returns to my own country "Canada" until just now there is no red flag or LIL flag to click on not in Japan anyway before I go on and on like I do when I feel like being a smart ***.... LOL!!!


PLAIN AND SIMLY SIGN OUT... Sign back in!!! This will allow things to reset!!! The right screens will pop up and tell you what to do!!!


TRUST ME I TRY'D EVERYTHING SINCE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING WORKED MY NEXT STEP WAS TO EITHER THROW THE PHONE .... AND SMASH IT .... DuM DuM DuM !!!! Or reset it to the factory SETIngs

Had to post cause maybe its different when your stuck in a different country store but I just got Lucky and signed out of my apple I'd guess I should have mentioned signing outta what huh??? Ya


YA SO SIGHN OUT OF YOUR APPLE ID THEN SIGN BACK IN DONT CHANGE ANYTHING OR MAKE ANOTHER ID

1) sign out

2) sign in

3) there is no three.... Things should reset from there allow you to change back to your own country!!!

This is quite frustrating and I don't see any logic behind this. Until yesterday I had a free app that was downloaded from the US store. I had no issues using it but now I can't as they have come up with an update and I am not able to download it. This was a very important app for me and now I can't use it.


Frankly, why should I provide my credit card information to download a free app?? I can understand if it is a paid one. It never used to be like this before..!!

I get a feeling that Apple is slowly restricting & forcing the user with unpleasant choices. I have 4 apple devices...will have to move to android platform soon..
