What do these console messages mean?

I'm getting the following messages showing up in console whenever I restart my MacBook Pro:

25/03/2012 11:53:10com.apple.launchd[1]*** launchd[1] has started up. ***
25/03/2012 11:53:38com.apple.WindowServer[67]Sun Mar 25 11:53:38 Macintosh.local WindowServer[67] <Error>: kCGErrorFailure: Set a breakpoint @ CGErrorBreakpoint() to catch errors as they are logged.
25/03/2012 11:53:59com.apple.launchctl.Aqua[108]com.apple.ReportCrash.Self: Already loaded
25/03/2012 11:54:05com.apple.launchd.peruser.503[106](com.apple.Kerberos.renew.plist[130]) Exited with exit code: 1
25/03/2012 11:54:07com.apple.launchd.peruser.503[106](com.apple.CSConfigDotMacCert-portabledeluxe@me.com-SharedServices[135]) Exited with exit code: 1
25/03/2012 11:54:12com.apple.UserEventAgent-Aqua[125]tiogadriver: (146) stopped with status 1!

What do they mean and do I need to fix the second entry?

Thanks for any info

Thanks fane_j

I can get rid of the last error by using my HP Laserjet's supplied driver (I was using the gutenprint alternative - which is actually better than the HP one).

I have realised through doing an internet search that all of the other messages are nothing to worry about as so many other people have them. I even booted up from a frewire drive with a fresh install of Snow Leopard and the same errors showed up!

Perhpas these are similar to the messages thrown up by Disk utility when verifying / repairing permissions - in the sense that they are not really indicating a problem - just advising of a situtaion. It's a shame Apple couldn't have hidden these.

Apple deprecated Tioga starting with SL—perhaps there's a newer Gutenprint driver for your printer.

As I understand it, only the kCGErrorFailure is an error as such. Impossible to tell if it's significant or not without tracing it to the cause—errors happen all the time.

No, no. Apple is doing too much hiding as it is. Console message are very useful, but they're not for everybody. Basically, if you don't have a problem, you don't need to open Console.

Thanks - I will see if there is a new Gutenprint driver.

The kCGErrorFailure disclosure tells me that Apple have made an error either with the Hardware or software set up on my mid 2010 Macbook Pro. I know this becuase the error appears on a clean install. Wether this has any negative impact on performace I donlt know, but I don't see anything.

So many other people have the exact same error showing up in their console logs.

Yes - I admit that in a sense I am 'looking for trouble' - but since I rely so heavily on my macbook's health I llike to try to pre-empt problems wherever I can.

I've noticed that when I go to system preferences / Accounts / Login Options and turn Automatic Login to 'On' when I restart my mac and check the console the kCGErrorFailure error is gone.

So at least I know that it is the login window dialogue / operation that causes the error. This is also the case on a clean install.

The messages in Console are usually notations. I decided many years ago, after obsessing about them, to not upen up Console unless there was something really really wrong. And that would be after doing other troubleshooting like reading crash reports, etc.

I'm afraid that if you keep reading them, searching for possible trouble, you might end up in a rubber room, LOL.
