My roomate tripped over my power cord...

And now my case is all jacked up. It was awesome (really...) to watch my powerbook fly into the air, do a flip & close itself and then land bottomside up. I've taken a couple pictures of the external damage (who knows if any internal things got screwed up?). I'd like to somehow get an estimate repair cost on just the external damage so I can get an idea of what I need to do about this. basically, if you look at the back of your powerbook on the hinge, you can see where the piece of metal covering that area (which wraps around from the inside) is bent out of place and the top panel is crushed down a little bit so that its protruding past the other piece. It seems like its probably just minor damage but I'll be damned if I just live with it, I can't have my baby lookin like this. Any ideas as to how to get an estimate?

Oh right, I'm in the military living on base so I can't get to an apple store, thats what makes it difficult.

You can try poking around at www.ifixit.com. They have parts, etc.

But you can probably not fix it yourself, and Apple will charge you a ton of $$ to put it a new case. I think ifixit will repair it for you, but not sure.

I know this is a tech support forum, but I want to say thank you for what you do (whatever the details maybe... haha). My brother was in Iraq, & it has given me a newfound respect for you guys.

ps- could you post the photos? That may give us some idea of what we are dealing with. If you can't do that, email me and I can throw them on my server, so we can others can look at the damage as well.(smhackett<at>gmail<dot>com)
