10.6.8 and Canon IJ Double-side Printing

I have a Macbook Pro running OS 10.6.8, and a Canon Inkjet Printer (MP276). However, I can't get print duplex/double-sided printing when printing from my Mac. When printing, selecting the "Layout" dropdown option, the "Two-Sided" option is greyed out.

This problem existed with my older HP printer too. This only seems to be the case with my Mac as my other laptops running Windows can print double-sided.


Could someone render me some assistance please?

I don't have any other setting besides "Standard" and "Last used settings" (which doesn't have two-sided enabled too)/


As for the latest Mac OS driver, I'm not sure if I got the right one but I googled and downloaded this (http://support-sg.canon-asia.com/contents/SG/EN/0100205702.html) but still no "two-sided" option.
