I'm try to upload my journal to iCloud. It is taking forever. I see the progress wheel spinning a d spinning.
I'm wondering, do I need to stay in the iPhoto app for progress to be made? If my iPad times out and the screen goes blank does the upload stop?
Another question, if I make a change to the Journal will it upload the change or do I need to start over?

When you unlock your iPad and the activity indicator (the spinning wheel) is still spinning around it means it isn't canceling the progress, but i cann't rebuild your problem, my journal uploades in less then a minute
I have about 70 pictures and 3-4 movie clips. Si I expected it to take a while.
I see the spinning wheel inside oF iPhoto when I bring up the iCloud options. However, when I return to the main screen I do not see the spinning wheel by the WiFi indicator. I wonder if that means it is only transmitting when iPhoto is visible?
I did one upload before it did not take this long. It was basically the same journal. I noticed when I made a change to the journal it did not automatically retransmit the journal. So I turned iCloud off then on again to force a refresh. Perhaps that action is why I'm having problems?
This could be. Try this: Close iPhoto Multitasking -> rename the journal. And if the Wifi-pregress-indicator in the status bar isn't spinning it means there is no connection from a app to the internet. So try to avoid to close the app when you try to upload a journal
Same problem: Upload takes forever. This after I uploaded several journals quick and easy.
Wi-Fi-connection is checked, rename was done: no change. (Libray is only 70 pictures).
Occurs this problem only if you try to upload one specific journal or to every. So are you able to upload anther journal. (Not just renamed, a really other journal)?
Happens with other Journals as well: even with 2 photos, just the same problem.
Have you closed the multitasking app of iPhoto and restart your iDevice?
I don't know how to close the mutlitasking app, but I would expect that restarting the iPad would clear all the apps.
Anyway, I tried that along with renaming the Journal. It did not work. I'll try creating a new small Journal and see what happens.
Perhaps users are only allowed one Journal to the iCloud? Anyway, I wish Apple would use a progress bar rather than the forever spinning wheel. That would tell me if I'm making any progress.
In your test did you try turning iCloud off and then on again?
I have three journals currently published, so it's not a case of only being allowed one.

What if you turn iCloud off then turn it on again for a Journal (with the thought that it will be deleted and republished)?
That is what I did after making a change to my Journal. I wonder if that is the issue?

I closed iPhoto and restarted. Still no luck. I created a 1 photo journal. It will not load to the cloud.
This solved my problem:
I came back tonight and both my journal were uploaded. I'm happy, but very confused. Why should it take several days to upload?
