Q: how do i extend the range of my existing airport based network

How do i extend the range of my existing airport based network?  I have a time capsule and an airport express.  I have read in the owner's manual that you can do it, it is just not very simple.

Thanks

Apple's step by step instructions to do this are here:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4259

Although an AirPort Extreme is pictured as the extending device, the setup for an AirPort Express would be exactly the same.

The instructions coincide with AirPort Utility 5.6 for Mac OS X Lion , so if you have not already downloaded and installed this application, you will need to do so on your Mac running Lion.

If you do have AirPort Utility 6.0 installed on your Mac, in theory it is supposed to setup the Express automatically. There is no documentation for this, of course, so not sure if you want to try this or not. I have not fully tested this out yet.
