Trying to make a photo book

I want to use my new iPad as a photo book for ALL of my pictures; not just those I've taken digitally. Can anyone tell me the best way to make this happen? I have access to 3 different scanners but I don't know which format would be the best. I kind of need a step by step suggestion and the best app that people would recommend. I'd like to have different folders or sections for each of my kids or other members of the family.

If one of those scanners is compatible with an app called "VueScan" (check the developers website)and that scanner is on your network then it's easy and all done remotely from iPad! the only time consuming bit is loading each photo onto scanner, but believe me Vuescan does the job. I was using a HP all in one networked (Ethernet cable) to my router, Vuescan found it no problem)

I used VueScan then once photos we're on iPad I used the app "Book Creator" to do the books then opened the finished product in the apple iBooks app, they look really good. I think there are now quite a few other photo book/album creator apps now.

My issue now is I'd like to print some of them as gifts...............but as yet no app allows you, whereas if I had a Mac pc I could do it as part of IPhoto, hopefully they will add this functionality
