iOS 5.1 Exchange Invitation Alerts--How to Disable?

After upgrading to iOS 5.1, any new Exchange meeting invitations trigger an alert, as if they were an actual meeting reminder. I don't want the invitations to trigger an alert, I only want the actual meeting reminders to trigger an alert (if they were programmed to do so). I can't seem to turn off the invitation alerts without also turning off the meeting reminder alerts. Is there a way to stop invitations from triggering an alert? It is very annoying!
